Spend an hour on your smartphone depression guide

A new study has revealed that spend more than an hour a day on the smartphone can be a sign of a person suffering from depression.
According to a study conducted by Northwestern University on a number of American volunteers to monitor the data that the phone can be a simple way to assess whether a person is depressed or beaming. The more time to use the phone for any reason, including the establishment of Internet text messages and follow-up, the more likely the person feeling frustrated and depressed.
The study showed that the average daily use of depressed individuals was 68 minutes, while 17 minutes for the non-depressed.
It is noteworthy that more than one in ten people in Britain suffer from anxiety and depression, and these results can provide an easy way to detect problems quickly. On this matter, lead author of the study commented that “when a person is depressed, it tends to convergence do not have a motivation or energy to go out and do anything.”
He adds that “the importance of this matter is that of specialists can detect whether a person is suffering from symptoms of depression and the severity of those symptoms without any questions to him, as the mobile phone can provide data unobtrusively and without effort on the part of the user.”
Based on the phone data scientists were able to identify people who are suffering from symptoms of depression accurately amounted to 87%, and found that this method was more credible than the usual questions that guide the participants on how they feel a scale of 1 to 10.
These study that will eventually lead to the monitoring of people exposed to depression using their smart phones to interfere with the health care provider in a timely manner.
The researchers are planning at Northwestern University to continue their studies to find out whether people change their behavior to make can improve mood and relieve depression.
